InfoSec became a really broad / multidisciplinary area. With its natural evolution, the security events and conferences all over the globe, try to focus on a certain area, which will probably frustrate part of the attendees.
Specially for being covering many areas, it's extremely hard to target two very distinct areas in infosec: those that are mostly hands-on, focused in tools, techiniques, exploiting products, procedures and technologies; and, on the flip-side, those who mostly work in management, policies, standards and non-technical procedures.
Set apart mostly due to the separation of duties in a corporation (or even in the infosec world), all of these pieces (sometimes very very disconnected) form one single puzzle. Bringing to the same stage pieces from different segments of the infosec world is the main objetive of You Sh0t the Sheriff 2.0.
Once we realized how far apart these segments actually are, in Brazil, and sometimes how some people just totally ignore the other side of the story, we decided to put together a very unique security con. The idea is to bring to the same stage people from the different layers of infosec, to present what they know in a very broad, yet getting the point accross, reducing this existing gap, getting people that actually never met live, together, and leaving the ego and any kind of prejudice behind.
Having, interesting technical talks for the management folks, and management and carreer presos to the techie l33t, the con tries to get these people to get to know each other, possibly work together, network, and save the future of the infosec market in Brazil. Getting everyone to add and respect the other side.
A conference that will probably not change your life, but will certainly open your eyes to what's happening on the side that usually you try to ignore, and, will make you wonder how other people and youself are contributing to the infosec market.
> Talks of the best professionals from Brazil and abroad;
> and, of course, networking and information exchange;
> A very unique and kick-back security conference event, the first of this kind in Brazil.
